Mini Camera
Mini Cameras are normally installed in a fixed location as part of a complete surveillance system that can be simple or complex depending on requirements.
The usual selections can be found in Mini Cameras as in regular ones. In case of full darkness of insufficient light, infrared illuminators, either independent or surrounding the camera may be required.
Wired and wireless cameras are available, the choice depending on ease of installation being weighed against quality of picture reproduction.
Mini-camera is a digital surveillance camera whose dimensions are reduced to the maximum to allow its use in minimum space. The Mini camera is generally suitable for indoor use but some models may be mounted also outdoor.
If the Mini-camera has to take pictures in total darkness it may be provided with a few infra red (IR) illuminators, included in the camera casing. If the Mini-camera does not include sources of invisible light (infrared), an external source of IR illuminating units may be needed.
Often they are called pinhole cameras as their lens is also quite small. A Mini-camera is called a Board Camera if it is built on the electronic board with or without a case. Mini-camera can be wired or use wireless technology depending on the planned use and also on the circumstances.
If the Mini-camera is considered for use as a covert camera, then it would be appropriate to have a look first at what we have to say on the use of a Hidden Camera.
